Effective Management Skills

Introduction

Managers need to engage, motivate and inspire their staff. They need to achieve results for their team or department through the activities and performance of the individuals. So they need to be able to harness their capabilities, direct them and then monitor the performances.

Managers also need to be able to tackle the less welcome tasks of giving feedback following a poor performance or of a disciplinary interview.
