1. When were you formed?
The business started as a partnership in 1991. It merged with Acorn Communication in 2005 and became Strategic Direction Performance Management Limited.
2. Who are the Directors?
The three principal directors, Alan Cowey, Martin Marris and Peter Woodward, have been involved in Management Training for over 20 years. They each have substantial business and management experience. This enhances the relevance and quality of the training.
3. What do you cover in your training?
The company offers a wide spectrum of training courses on offer. All are proven and have yielded good results for clients. Within our range we have speciality areas where we have considerable expertise and capability. These Speciality Areas are Sales Academy, Financial Awareness, Real Teamwork, Leadership, Communication and Change Management.
4. Who delivers the training?
The directors deliver training but to cover the range and geographic coverage we engage other facilitators who are experts in a particular topic. We also have associates around the world who can conduct seminars in the local language. See below.
5. Do you work outside the UK?
Most of our work is with international companies. As a result we run many multi-national seminars and conduct work overseas. Over 30% of our activity is outside the UK. This includes Eastern and Western Europe, Middle East, America and Scandinavia.
6. Do you specialise in one industry sector or company type?
No, we have a broad base of clients in many sectors, including Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, Telecommunications, IT, Oil & Chemical, Transport, Construction, Consultancies, Insurance and Finance.
Our clients range from global players to family firms. For all clients we aim to understand the business needs and design appropriate interventions.
7. Do you develop all the materials yourself?
No. we have business partnerships with a number of world leading suppliers of material and intellectual copyright. These include Wilson Learning, Celemi and Quarto. We are accredited with these organisations to represent them in the marketplace.
