Our Process With Clients To Ensure 'Training on Target'We want to make sure that the training is relevant, effective and delivered in the most appropriate manner. We spend time discovering the real need before we propose a solution. This may involve meeting the potential attendees, seeing them at work as well as understanding the skills and competencies expected. We also wish to understand the issues within the business. With this knowledge we aim to engage the participant. Our intervention is relevant.
Within many of the learning methods there are means of either assessing the existing skill levels or developing a behaviour profile. This helps the tutor, but more importantly the participant, to develop a deeper understanding of their own characteristics. This helps us to motivate participants to improve.
We would determine the most appropriate method of delivering the learning, whether it be in a classroom, via a physical simulation, active games (indoor or out), one to one coaching or the web.
After the delivery of the training we like to support the utilisation of the knowledge and skills. We do this through support materials, action plans, follow up refresher sessions or through a webcast. This inspires the participants to continue to use the new skills and knowledge.
We would also monitor the impact of the learning through short term evaluations as well deeper Mackenzie level measures. We can confirm the training approach is on target or modify the relevant aspects.
Here is a breakdown of the various learning methods and tools we use to acheive these steps;
